C. H. Spurgeon once said, “Visit many good books, but live in the Bible.” That is my hope for you, that first and foremost you live in your Bibles, but secondly that you read expansively to sharpen and challenge your thinking and understanding of Scripture. A good friend wrote, “While Holy Scripture is the ultimate authority in regard to all belief and practice, good theological books can expose unbiblical assumptions that hinder our ability to read the Bible aright, reinforce what the Scripture clearly says, and excite the mind and arouse the heart in the things of Christ.” So, below are books that I would recommend reading over time. Periodically I will post and update new books to this list, in addition to books I am currently reading. Please enjoy for your growth in Christ!
